This past week was Home Coming here at our school. My eldest daughter was nominated for Home Coming Queen. To be honest I expected Queen to be based more on a popularity contest, than going to a nice person that really isn't involved in those things that make some teenaged girls popular. So as I stood on the football field with the camera ready to take a photo of the new Home Coming Queen to be announced both my daughter and I were surprised when they announced her name for the 2015 Home Coming Queen. I guess good things do happen to good people now and then. My daughter is a really good/nice person so I'm very happy for her. Here is a photo just seconds after they placed the crown on her head. I think she's beautiful and YES, I'm glad she gets her looks from her mother.

Her along with the King. Btw, the King is also our quarter back and one heckuva an athlete. He's made All State 3 years in a row. He had a great night in the football game as well. He is also a super good/nice person. It makes me happy when good people get a break now and then.

My two daughter's once my oldest got off the field and back to the sideline. Where did my little girls go? They are young lady's all of the sudden. You sure can tell they are related though. Again, I'm glad the looks from momma.

That's fantastic. I hear a lot of people talk about today's young and the troubles this country is facing but I think this next generation is a good one. I see a lot of hard workers and good / nice people. I think the future looks bright. Congrats to your daughter and you.

That's awesome! One if the nice things about having school aged children for me me has been an excuse to go to a few of the Friday night football games. It's so purely American like apple pie and Independence Day fireworks.

Sky, ya know what first caught my eye about your girl's pics???....the minimal use of facial makeup, dark eyeshadow, and glaring lipstick....many young girls, nowadays, wear so much eye makeup and lipstick that they look like they have black racoon eyes and bulging hemoglobin lips.

Sure, I can tell your girls have used a little in the pics, but they have certainly used it wisely and sparingly....just enough to highlight their facial features....they are both natural holsom beauties.

All that being said, congratulations to you and your entire family!!!
