I never thought I'd see the day, when it got so dry that I'd actually pump water for deer....there is absolutely no browse or greenery for them, other than a good crop of persimmons....I dug a few water holes with my backhoe, near my irrigation wells, and keep them pumped up, so they will at least have fresh drinking water.
We can forget any foodplots because even though they are all planted, we haven't had a drop of rain to get the seed germinated....and, nearly the entire south half of our state is under a burn ban....never seen that, either....day #95 without any rain!!!
