I have a sale coming up (starting Thursday) that is being put on by a local estate sale company. The good thing is, I'm VERY tight with the owners of the company and they always give me a break on pricing because I do a lot of volume with them. This one looks like JUST the kind of sale I love to find. Lots of junk ... or "junque" as I like to call it. They told me about the place last week and said it's an old hunting/fishing camp that's been closed up for a while. There are actually 5 houses and the pics they sent me were just from the first house as they hadn't even opened the others yet to see what's in them. I know where this place is ... there's NOTHING around there other than woods, lakes and alligators! Here's the email they sent out.


Pickers's, picker's, picker's---------This is the one you have been waiting for. Nestled on the water in the middle of nowhere. There will be 5 houses for sale with everything inside for sale. The main house has furniture, garage items including tons of tools, golf carts, mowers, 3 cars, heavy bulldozer equipment, sheds, boats and so much more. The other houses have been untouched for years and we haven't even opened them yet. Bring your gloves and your old clothes and get ready to spend the day here, there is no telling what you may find. That top pict looks like a Remington Woodsmaster 30.06 I had one stole from me when I was in my teens...wish I had it back...

For sentimental reasons, the old 742 is my favorite rifle. My uncle gave me one for my 17th birthday that he found in a pawn shop. I killed a buttload of deer with, hence its name 'Meat in the Pot'.

Yep, I had TWO Remington 760 Gamemaster's in 30.06. The 760 was a pump, but looked persactly like this. I believe this is the same version in a semi-auto ... I believe they were 742's (?).

Oh man would that ever be a BLAST! I could use that air compressor, the jet pump, the acetylene torch, ...and I am sure lots of other treasures yet to be found. Color me jealous!

Ha ha! Yeah, it's a real mess Postie. I didn't show all the pics, but there's even another room full of junk attached to the garage. It'll take some digging just to get to it. (you can see some of it behind the golf cart pic above) PLUS ... I'm wondering if the other 4 houses have garages also? Note: Peeking between the drawers in that big Craftsman toolbox above, it appears that thing is stuffed FULL of tools!

I could actually use those door handles. Dang, I wish I was going to that. I imagine a guy will make a killing on some of the tools for sale there.

Dad went to an auction this morning to bid on a hoe but I've not talked to him to see if he actually bought it.

I think the price just went up though ... looks like they just put a new starter and batteries in the thing.
