He pretty much has to win at Talledega to get in. A top five might do it if the top seven or eight drivers finish like 30th or better but that ain't gonna happen.

Here's the deal though. To win a restrictor plate race somebody has to team up to draft with you or you just won't win. If the top five or six cars are all chase contenders, they aren't going to want Junior to make it throughj to the next round. So he'll find it a lonesome race unless he can find somebody to team up with him. Like a Hendrick teammate named Johnson or Gordon for example.
