So, Lucia's Dad died last week surrounded by family as he took his last breath and gave up his cancer ridden body. There is absolutely no doubt at all in my mind that he is in the club seats in heaven. His funeral was Friday and I had to watch my beautiful wife say goodbye to her Dad. To say it was difficult and very sad day would be an understatement. I'm not sure I've had any sadder.

Then I had to wake up the next morning and go shoot a wedding for 13 hours, surrounded by people on one of the happiest days of their lives and try to exceed their expectations of the images they wanted for their wedding.

I think my father-in-law may have helped me out of this one. I truly do.

Sorry for your loss, Len, and Lucia's.

Dying is tough. Living through death is way harder.

You may not realize it, but your pictures give families a way to live longer than others in their family.
