Thought Provoking Question

At dinner last night, my 12 year old asked who I was supporting for POTUS in the Democratic Primary. He knows darn well that I probably wouldn't vote for any of them in the general election. So, this was strictly rhetorical. (I also want my kids to do their own thinking. While I'm honest about what I think and why, I try not to be too strident one way or another in their presence.) It led to a pretty good conversation and I thought I'd throw it out here. And, I'm quite aware that they all suck and will lead to the collapse of the Republic, etc., etc., etc.

With Webb out of the race, it pretty much came down to Bernie for me just by process of elimination.

Still ain't got one I'd vote for on either side. And its not looking good neither!

Webb is one of those that I think fell through the cracks. He had the best ideas and most realistic viewpoints of any of them. But he just wasn't polished enough.

Most people think being 'non PC' gives them the right to be assholes in public. Webb, IMO, was the real non-PC in that he just gave straight answers. I'm hoping to see him pop up on the Independent ticket.

Dang Johnboy, when I used to drive around Montreal, sometimes I felt like I was the only non-Arab in the Province! Not only the general population, but I believe 99.9% of the commercial truck drivers were Arab!

I shut down one night in a Wally World parking lot in Toronto and entered the store to replenish my grocery supply and grab a bite to eat (chicken fingers). I was amazed! I actually walked that whole store observing. There was myself, one white guy and one white couple that I could single out. ALL others were Mid-Easterners ... and the store was extremely busy at the time!

Our new PM promised to bring 25000 Syrian refugees to Canada. No plan as to what they will do with them but you can guarantee that they will all wind up in a major city on welfare where they will create their own ghetto. Glad I live in the boondocks.
