That's pretty cool! Congrats Bwana!!!
Guess I was busy washing down some Birddog likker and watching the race and didn't see this one slip in.
I'm always glad to see good things happen to good people.

Looks like it's already happened. He's been missing a few days.

As noted Posthole, it is pretty obvious she is my sister given the necessity to have to turn your head to view our material.

As for the promotion, I've been there long enough they figured I just HAD to have learned a think or two about how things work around there so they took pity on me. ;) Either that or I drew the short straw.

True story: at the meeting when the promotion was first publicly announced the governor said something along the lines of "Congratulations... I guess or should I be offering my condolences?"

Don't plan on skipping out in any way shape or form but there are times when things get more than a bit busy around there.

Thanks all.

So in your new position, are you a bureaucrat or a politician?

Just remember Bwana, something I learned along the way.
The higher you go the closer to the door you are....

Been there, done that. I learned it when I first went into management. Anytime the economy sneezed, (middle) management was the first to go.
