And I thought it was pretty cool. In the midst of seeing how our supposed 'leaders' were acting this week, these kids were showing us how we all ought to behave.

That's cool! One thing I read in the story that really made me think, is this:


Instead of his own name, each player wore the name of a friend or loved one who had battled cancer.

It just makes me think how terribly common this cancer thing really is considering that many high school aged kids, in their relatively short lifetimes, would even know somebody who's had cancer.

I guess i'll have to change my mind about locust grovians now. I played golf in a memorial tournament for a guy who committed suicide and somebody stole my pitching wedge and half the town played in that tourney. I've had a bad taste in my mouth for that town ever since.
