I had heard that gps was in use for individual players but never really knew specifically how. Kind of like a fitbit on steroids (no pun intended) it sounds like.
My wife wear a fitbit while she's working and she walks about three to five miles in a nine hour work day, usually around 15000 to 16000 steps.

Pretty amazing stuff. And interesting too!
