Last night the misses ask me to open about 4/5 cans of tomato sauce/paste (stuff for spaghetti) and after finding 3 broke dime store openers and an
electric can opener that sounded like a worn out ford I found that I'm in desperate need of a good can opener...

What y'all use?

As a last resort, I use a P-38....I prolly got a hunnert of 'em around the house. ;)

haha True^... here is a Quote from a seller .29c each...

Quote
"This is the first thing you should have on your key chain or in a utility drawer. Operation is simple and elegant. It got my wife and I through fourteen days of no power and no services during hurricane Ike and hurricane Rita when there was less of a problem with infrastructure.. Never be caught without access to canned food. It's also a good fallback for when the regular can opener 'walks away', and we all know that they do that sometimes. Ive given one to each and every good friend I have. You'll need a good grip and a little strength in your wrist, but its no more difficult than any small can opener you may come across. You could always get a p-52 somewhere if you're worried about it. The mess cooks generally carried them. They're a little larger with more leverage.

Pros: TOU WILL EAT WHILE OTHERS BEAT CANS AGAINST ROCKS
Cons: Not for weak wrists. "

For the few who have no clue what the h3ll we're talking about, Airbud, here's a how-to clip about the P-38 John Wayne:

Military issue. I always had mine on a chain around my neck ... with my dog tags. As a matter of fact, I have one layin' right here on my desk as we speak.

But that said, it's definitely NOT what you're lookin' for Airbud.

Are you looking for a good manual or electric opener?

McGyver could build a house with it. A Marine could open cans of C-Rations. Army guys just cut their fingers.

Wife demanded we have one of these in case electricity goes out. (NO idea why we'd open cans if electricity goes out for 2 hours, but hey...............)
