It took exactly 10 weeks for the shotgun I won to arrive.
Part of the wait was the stock was fitted to my big lefthanded old fart body, and the fact I wanted the receiver to have a little engraving on it. Wood is French Walnut.
Picked it up from my FFL at noon today and shot it latter in the afternoon.
Sad part is our trap shooting up here is over till April, so I can only shoot Sundays for fun at the club, although there is a chance I'll haul it down to FL after the first of the year and shoot some tournaments down there.
I'm afraid I'm really going to like this gun :hello

Wow! It looks like that was definitely worth the wait. Just think, by the time the season comes back in, you'll have it broke in and be completely used to shooting it.

That is one fine shotgun, Jerry....congrats on the win!!!

I've only won one thing, in all my years....when I was a teenager, I won a wormy Angus steer, one time at one of my Dad's agricultural meetings....got it home, and three days later, he couldn't stand up....called the vet, and he said it had developed some type of intestinal infection from all the internal worms....long story short, after spending about $300 dollars on vet bills, the little sheeit still died.

I've not been too keen on raffle tickets, ever since, but you seem to have a winning system, Jerry. ;)

I'm sorry for being ignorant, but what is the purpose of that removeable piece near the cheek piece of the stock?

it is an adjustable comb, so you can adjust it to fit where you want. that way when you mount the gun the gun fits you instead of you having to fit your head to the stock

which will also allow you to adjust the point of impact of the pattern ... for example higher for a trap gun versus a skeet or sporting clays

Oh great, now I can't get that visual out of my head ... of P-hole "mounting" his gun! :hair
