Been thinking about getting a new rifle and I have been looking at the Legandary Arms Works "professional". Has anybody checked them out? I have called several shops and they all rave about them and say they can't understand how they can sell them at the prices they do. I have been thinking about a .280 Ackley Improved or the new 26 Nosler but from what I understand those are pretty hard on the barrels.

If you want a 26 Nosler buy it. The likelihood of shooting out the barrel is probably not going to happen. I mean it's not like the only rifle you own and feeding the 26 gets fairly spendy. So I say buy it, shoot it, and enjoy it.

There is nothing in life that is better than a custom rifle built just for you, the way you want it, the look you want and the pride of ownership.
Life's to short and you ain't getting any younger, so just do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sky, I know you just bought a 6.5 Creedmore, how does that compare to the 26 Nosler.

I will probably sell the .300 Weatherby I just bought to partially fund this, would the 26 Nosler or the .280 AI be practical for game larger than Whitetail? The .300 Whby is really the biggest rifle I own. My other rifles are .257 Whby, .270 WSM, two 25.06's, .308 and a AR-15 in .223.

The 26 Nosler is pretty much to the 6.5 Creedmore what the .257 Weatherby is to the 25.06.
