Cool tune. The Mrs. And I love to torment the kids by belting it out at top volume when it comes on the car radio.

No disrespect to the men lost at sea. But I hate that damn song. It's not a song, it's a really bad poem that should have never seen the airwaves.

I can't help but wonder how it must feel to know "this is it" well before you actually meet your maker. Most of me thinks I'd not fare well in such a situation. Part of me thinks I may approach it with grace. Most of me thinks I'd freak out like a squirrel on crack.

May you be stuck with a Gordon Lightfoot earworm for the rest of the day. Come on, you can do it.

The legends all say they would have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd put 15 more miles behind her...

Don't be hating on a Canadian national treasure, you'll have all the Canadian hockey players boycotting the NHL

Remember it well, been to Whitefish Point a number of times, beautiful part of the UP.
I enjoy the song also, did you know they changed the words in one part of the song so it didn't point to the loose hatch cover, that was done because the widow of the deck hand responsible for the securing of the hatch cover complained that it was never proven that that was the cause of the sinking.
Also today is the 240th Birthday of the US Marine Corp. OOH Rah you Jar Heads.

I lasted 2 min and some change and I had to close the youtube... But, to each its own...

Before moving to continental usa I never, ever thought a lake could behave like these lakes. I once was in Jocassee when we had one of those "spring" blown out and Lord it was terrible, i cant image what the crew went thru on those last minutes...
