Well, I'd say it COULD be a game changer. These won't work in every applcation, but right out of the chute, there's plenty of places they would make sense. Like your SC farm, Captain.

And they go for only $3000. Time and performance will tell, but this looks like a pretty cool deal to me.

I would really like to see cost and what all is involved in the transfer switch. My home in NC can run off grid for 2 weeks and then I need a propane fill up. I have an auto transfer switch that trips At power loss in one second. Runs the complete house and all heat, air, water heater and my shop. Then auto transfers back to the grid once it restores and cools down and shuts off. That system is expensive but necessary as much as I'm out of town at the farm during the worst weather.
No more than my SC house is used this would be really good for that application. And I certainly would like to learn more about it.

A couple of solar panels and you could probably run off the grid at the farm most of the time.

The question is, how long do those batteries last?
