The proliferation of weinie dogs?

Rednecks love them for some reason.

they were bred to go down badger holes and drag them out. Since we don't have many badgers, maybe rednecks send them down armadillo holes

Tony (Gator) had a bunch of them. If he ever shot a deer that ran off and he lost it's trail, he'd head straight for the house to pick up one of his "weenie" dogs. They were expert trackers.
