Lynn and I are headed for the beach tomorrow for a weekend getaway and it looks like there's an estate sale I'd like to hit, but am going to have to miss. This place is FULL of old junk (the garage is piled high with old crap .. my favorite), not to mention tons of antiques, etc.

This homestead has been around (same family) for a bazillion years. The old guy was an old-time cattle and citrus baron as well as a Korean War veteran. This house is described as, "An Incredibly Packed Historic Estate"!

There is a lot of interesting looking stuff I'd love to dig through. There also looks to be quite a bit of old iron layin' around. I'm intrigued by that super-deep cast iron frying pan. Man-o-man, you could DEEP FRY chicken in that thing! I like this old Ford radio also!

You're right - neat "stuff".

CD - I have two chicken fryers - one Griz and one Wagner I use "everyday". Just re-seasoned them both.. Dang they work well.. even for squirrels. ;)

I've seen enough from the threads you posted that I know I don't need to get "into" those sales. I'd be broke AND divorced in about 6 months.
I NEED to be selling all the collectibles I have NOT adding to my collection.

I quit "collecting" a while back and it's now a buy/sell situation. And you know what? Realizing a profit makes it much more fun than collecting! :D

Nope - only thing in the world that tastes like chicken is.... chicken.;) Only thing close to squirrel in making gravy from the drippings is turtle.. Squirrel, biscuits and gravy talk about eating.. As a matter of fact, that's what's for supper tonight..
