Our youngest daughter has been home from Fort Collins for the holidays and we've just been visiting up a storm. Our dogs think its pretty cool too. Plus the whole fam dambly has been here about every day around suppertime so there's not been any dull moments!

We're dodging winter storms right now! Sleet!

Hunkered down today because of freezing rain and 20+MPH winds. Probably going to take down the Christmas tree and put the decorations away and get the place back to normal.

We got a blowjob at 4 am....40 mph winds and rained so hard, it'd knock the hide off you.
Clearing from the west, and temp falling....finally, the heat wave has passed us !!!
I WILL be in the woods, as soon as I debride and remove this crimmus tree. ;)

80 degrees, there???....it's already dropped into the 50's here, just in the past couple of hours....wind is still blowing like a mofo, but really cooling off, since the front came thru about daylight.

Ok I lied. AccuWeather.com says just 79.

Went out in boat in shorts.

High today of 85 deg, then 87, 87 and 86. That cold front hits here this weekend Sat. - Mon. .... 67, 65, 67. I guess that'll be our winter, then we'll be back to the mid-70's next week.

Between work, Christmas travels, and having to bury a friend yesterday haven't had much time to be here and I miss it.

I know whatch mean, Bwana....just in the past week, one of our church deacons died, suddenly....then, two very dear ladies, a mom and her daughter, were killed in a car crash just up the road from our house....now, the family of one of my high school buddies, are pulling the plug on him, today, from severe Alzheimers.

It seems that this time of year, when everything should be festive and joyful, there are always some families who hurt.
Our tornado victims and their kids come to mind, also.

You're right Muddy. My sister (in Houston) has spent the last 5 days in the hospital and I'm not sure when she'll get out. My sis and BIL went to my nephew's house (their son and DIL) for a Christmas Eve dinner. Upon leaving, my sis tripped going down the steps at the front of their house and broke her hip. She spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the hospital, then they operated the day after Christmas. BUT, while there, the docs discovered another problem and she's scheduled for and MRI today to see what's going on there. NOT a good Christmas for them.

To answer the op, kind of foul mood because I have only been able to hunt one day since my son went on vacation to Fl. With me being sick, on call and bad weather seems the last 3 days of the season might be it and I still have not given to the "hunters feed the poor" thingy I do every year. Last year it was me that end up with no deer because I did all the "donations" up front thinking I would hunt all year, this year I got one for my friend, 2 for me and left the charity for last.... I think next year it is going to be charity first... I know, dont sound like much but it kinda leaves me with a sense of "unfulfillment" for the season...

I've decided to build more storage for the storage room and garage so I'm bob the builder lately. I love the smell of freshly sawn lumber almost as much as a 2 stroke motor.

Sky, I haven't had too much luck with the yotes, lately....I know I haven't killed 'em all because I can hear them, howling at night....weather is getting colder, so maybe they'll turn on....breeding season isn't far away, too.

'sawn'? You actually went and used that word?

I always wait until after deer season to set some snares. Set 5 yesterday.. and got about an inch or a little more of unexpected fresh snow.. Perfect.. I wish I'd have put in 20..

I've told you about the "ugly" coyotes I have here.. I call them "red and grizzly"..

Even the well-furred ones aren't anything like your western 'yotes..
