Okay, so now I'm really confused

Like a lot of people, I was bummed out when I found out Elton John was gay. I'll admit it was like 1979 when I figured it out. Then I was REALLY bummed out when I found out Steely Freaking Dan is gay. All those lyrics suddenly had new meanings. Steely Dan was uber cool FM radio album rock. All the cool adjectives.

And then I read this.
