Winter Storm Warning

Schools were closed today because we're under a Winter Storm Warning, 6-8" with high winds.
This is what it looked like at 9AM before everything was to start.
Sort of back to a normal winter after two month of no snow.

Supposed to get a few flakes here tonight. I'd love it if it were 6-8".

Love snow like that, but no likey when the wind picks it up and drifts all over creation. Then only thing worse that getting your vehicle stuck in a snow drift is getting yourownself stuck in a drift while out hiking. Obviously I got out the last time it happened to me, but the Charlie horses I had in my hip joints just about made me want to die on the spot.

Beautiful to look at. Beautiful to visit for SHORT periods. It's makes beautiful photos for Christmas cards.

But to live with that stuff? Been there, done that, and it gets old REALLY, REALLY fast!
