Looks like I'm too danged busy to play for a while. Getting ready to leave the house and meet Lynn for lunch, then I have a farmer (well, he SAYS he's a farmer) coming over to buy fifty 5-gal. buckets (w/lids) that were left-overs from my business when I shut it down. I used to buy my food grade soap in 5 gal. buckets and always saved the empties. Time to get 'em out'ta my shed. Anyway, he uses 'em for feed buckets 'til they get all beat up, then plants some sort of tree saplings in 'em.

I also had a 55 gal. drum listed (used to buy bulk soap in drums, this is my last one) and got a call from a guy who wants it to make some sort of composting thingy. I talked to him, gave him my address and he said he only works a block away from me at Chase Bank. I told him that's where I bank and then after talking a few minutes, we realized we know each other! He's been the bank manager there for years! I'm not worried about him ... it's that other dufe. You know how shady those farmer types can be! ;)

Then tomorrow is estate sale day and my buddy will be here at 7:00 am to head out.

Youse guys have fun and don't talk about me behind my back. Ha! Yeah right. ;)

My current concern for Craigslist is that I've had this listed for several days, at a good price, and not a single nibble.

They must think the "good price" is for you not for them. Lower it.

But I didn't win the Lottery

Perfect timing ... the "bucket farmer" called just as I returned home. Buckets are gone, I have a crisp $100 bill in my pocket and it's time to take care of some eBay stuff before my banker buddy checks in for his barrel. Dang! I love selling crap! ;)

I wish you were closer. At .50 a piece for those buckets I could have used a dozen or more. He got a really good deal and you got a hundred bucks so it's all good.

I think they'd need a couple 55 Gal drums if they plan on choppin' you up, Jimmy :)

I still love you. All of you :)

Hey, Cap, how many 5 gal. hy-tran buckets you got laying around your place???....I prolly got 200 of 'em stacked up behind my shop.

Thumps gettin' $2 bucks for his old soap buckets....we sittin' on a bucket gold mine, bro!!! ;)

Thumper

Yep, $1.50 w/o tops and $2.00 with tops.

Yeppers, ol' Sky may want to stick with teachin' art ... math ain't his strong point evidently. ;)

That said, B/S ... if you lived that close, they wouldn't cost you anything. I have about 30-35 more if'n ya' wants ta' come get 'em.

Yep that's one thing about a farm, you can haul a load of 5 gallon buckets to the dump and before you get back there is another load of them at the barn.

Ha, after today I'm not even sure I want to stick with art let alone math. The best part of today will be going to bed tonight.

I was thinking of making one fo those for my canoe for float trips. I worry that I'd go under some tree branches and forget about it, though. Some of my rods are 'spensive and I would most likely cry if I brokeded one.

If I ain't mistaken Len, that's for ice fishing and the rods are about as short as Thumper's peter.

Yep - and it's the fastest way to break rods there is. I put mine inside the bucket and use cut down golf club tubes as rod protectors - works great.

Well, actually, I have to agree Postie. Those rods usually run anywhere from 28" - 38" long, depending on whether you're fishing in the open, a larger fish house or a one-man shelter. But you're right, the length of my pecker falls somewhere within that range. :D
