Oh yeah, that's a given. We left the beach and headed into Miami for a late lunch. Dang it was good!

I had Masas de Cerdo con Moros y Yuca with a side of Pla'tanos Maduros.

Lynn had Camarones al Ajillo with Tostones.

And when we left, we ordered 3 Croquetas de Jamon' to take back to the room as a snack!

Ooops, I just realized I forgot to include the bottle of wine in the pic. :D

There's a SMALL Cuban place near the oceanfront that no one would know is there. Our friends took us there and both my wife and myself were not looking forward to it.

Long story short we've been back there 3 times in about 4 months.

And when I say small I bet that place doesn't hold 25 people.

My ex FIL called them 'Cubians". I'm a Cuban food lover too.

We're going out for Italian tonight and then some sort of movie. Likely the Leonardo one.

Arty, that sounds just like a place we went to last time we were down this way. We asked one of the (Cuban) housekeepers at the hotel where she and her friends/family ate. It was a little hole in the wall, but had killer food. It was owned/operated by an old Cuban couple ... he handled the kitchen and she handled the dining room. :thumbsup

We have breakfast at the hotel, then a "special" lunch, then just wing it for dinner. Tomorrow's lunch is Thai and Monday is my "birthday meal" at Fogo de Chão. I'll DEFINITELY skip breakfast on Monday!

Yeah, I'm not much of a brown liquor drinker ... give me a beer or I can handle a fru-fru drink with a slice of fruit and a little paper umbrella.

Hey Q/A ... I'm killing time here until I feel it's safe to wake Lynn to head down for breakfast. I assume you're referring to General Tso's chicken? I've heard a lot of people call it Cho, Chow, Sow, etc. etc. etc. I'll admit I love it and eat it at most any Chinese buffet I visit, but it's actually an American dish and didn't really come from China. (Today's G/H trivia) BTW, Tso is actually pronounced "So" as in "So" ... wazzup Dog? ;)

If you have any left-overs, what time can I drop by? I can just about eat my weight in pot stickers! ;)
