The European model is consistently more accurate farther out. It was predicting exactly what happened 6 or 7 days before it got here. Both systems are reliable once you get inside of 48 hours. Overall, the weather guessers were dead on with their snowfall predictions. My area got 38-40"

Kinda surprising.

Now IF THEY COULD JUST GET ME THE EVERLOVIN' FUCK OUT OF HERE I'D BE ALL SET!!!! AGGGHHHH!!!!!

rumor has it the plowing contractor done run out of diesel and there's none to be had in the metro area because tankers couldn't get in to refill the station tanks.

We got 22-24" here which is right where they predicted. My street saw its first plow this afternoon which usually doesn't slow me down too much. This is the first time ever that, due to drifting which was in the 3'+ range, that I couldn't just throw it in 4 wheel low and drive my way out. I actually had to dig my truck out on Sunday. Coolest story story was just now. I was just coming back from a friends for drinks about a half mile away with my wife on the ATV and chased a red fox down the middle of the road for about 8 blocks. I about caught up to him before he decided to cut into a back yard.

Agreed. But, I'm not one of them. I've seen plenty of both in the wild and can tell the difference.
