I'm working myself to death since retirement.
I'm working the SC farm alone since my dad is unable to be there due to moms health. Keeping up 400 acres and 80-90 head of cows is a fulltime job. I'm working one day a week at Bass Pro as a firearms specialist. (Usually Wednesday) and consider this more fun than work. It's really a relaxing and enjoyable time....
I have become the go to guy in the state for advice and help setting up police departments in town that wish to establish one. I just finished with one contract with Polkton, NC and currently assisting the town council and mayor of Peachland, NC with the formation of their PD.
The local Sheriffs office (where my son works) wants me to come back onboard (20 hours a week) in a management position. But I just don't know if I can afford the time away from the farm. They have made the offer almost where I cannot pass it up however.
Retirement has been with out a doubt the busiest time of my life. And it's super nice not HAVING to do any of it....

I was not trying to compare. I was just saying, I have to keep busy, a need to have self worth I guess. It's not right or wrong it just is. I try to use my time well and have generally found I get out of life what I put in it. Same with deer or turkey hunting. As busy as I stay I find time to plant an prepare for the seasons and usually have good results. I see the "hunters" that show up a week before the season and do nothing and they usually have that kind of results too. I don't hunt in some magic area where there is tons of deer and turkey. Probably less in fact than in a lot of areas. I just spend a LOT of time in the woods and learning.
I just enjoy getting all I can out of a day.

You're a man of many parts!

Are you also the chairman of the Non-Partisan AntiChinese League?

NO you weren't comparing. I know that. But I was.......I was and am, sadly comparing me to you. I am in awe of all that you do. I meant my post sincerely. You're one busy little bee.........and I'm a lazy goober by nature.
