After a long day of working out of town I just had to pull over and take this photo with my cell phone. I was nearly home and my house sits right at the base of this mountain range. There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home...and home for me is the opposite of Kansas. ;)

Are you still teaching??

I was kind of wondering the same thing. You have mentioned lot of travel for work lately.

In addition to teaching full time I have a part time job as a teaching consultant. It has me traveling from one of the state to the other sometimes. I like the job but sometimes it wears me out a little.

Yeah............but you COULD be traveling from one corner of Kansas to the other!!! :) You get to see one heck of a beautiful state.

Kansas is without a doubt one of the most boring states I've ever driven through. I'm not complaining about the scenery out here. It is beautiful, but the distance between towns/cities is often a pretty fair poke. Only Alaska, California and Texas exceed us in size.

The one thing I know about consultants is having that title usually means big $$.

A Consultant is an Expert from out of town.

An Expert (a streeetttchhhh)........an "Ex" is a Has Been and "Spert" is a drip under pressure!

Recalling my experience in the auto business ... I formed the opinion many years ago that a consultant is nothing more than "an unemployed manager".

That obviously doesn't fit in this case.
