Bucky and I (and, Sandy) are "suppose" to get together at his farm for some squirrel hunting, sometime this month....I told my wife about it, and she asked if I had ever met Bucky....I told her that we had never actually met, but we had been "knowing" each other thru the GH site for prolly over 20 years, and he seemed like a good ole Arkansas boy. ;)

She sorta harrumphed, and said, "How do you know he isn't an ax murderer??? He might be luring you up there to his farm, and kill you and Sandy, then bury you both in the woods."

I told her that Bucky didn't know how to use an ax. ;)

Is an ax sorta like an axe? Is it like, um, a two-sided splittin' maul?

You know............Terry's wife in Alberta said exactly the same thing. Honest.

We went up there twice. She wouldn't stay in the house if we were there.

I ain't sure but what she still thinks we were/are axe murdering redneck ne'er do wells. Heck, I ain't sure but what I think that.

Well, he might kill you. But, Sandy seems like way too good a squirrel dog for that fate...

20+ years ago my wife said the same thing about the Captain, she was really apprehensive about meeting him, let along going over to his house.
Little did she know that he was a cross between Andy Taylor and Barney Fife. :fine

Are you sure that she is concerned for BOTH of you or just for Sandy?

The first time I met Jim he was staring at me across the table over a giant mound of chicken bones. I thought he might be Jeffrey Dahlmer.

And the whole time, TW and I were staring across at a long-haired, red-headed, ex-post hole digger thinking something very similar!

As it turned out, we were one of the first few people to actually set foot on Marg's new lino! :D
