I'm a little freaked out by the puppy/monkey/baby commercial.

That's what happened when they got away from the original flavor, weird things started happening. Mt Dew was fine just the way it was.

I agree with you completely QA. Somehow, I don't get the impression that you and I are their target demographic though.

Well why not? I'm almost as smart as your average bear and I buy my Mt Dew the old fashioned way, with money I earned.

Guess I answered my own question didn't I?

Who buys their Mountain Dew with money that isn't theirs? What demographic is responsible for this sad state of affairs?

The great Mountain Dew conspiracy! I had no idea that politics pervaded superbowl commercials too! I'd have never known they were targeting welfare people with their commercial! Obama is tricksy ain't he?

Carry on!

I was thinking more about my teenager and his buddies who seem to gobble up all these exotic flavors like there's no tomorrow. I'll leave the conspiracy theories to you guys.

I live in the third poorest county in Arkansas. The county is the largest employer. Looks like half the people who live here draws a guvment check.

Kinda skews my perception

Not sure what youse dufes are talkin' 'bout persactly. Did they change the formula for the original Mountain Dew? (like the total failure, New Coke?) Or are you just talking about all those silly flavored Dew's?

I love Mt. Dew (original) but can't drink the dang stuff or I get KILLER withdrawal headaches from the massive dose of caffeine those things have. (I don't drink coffee either) The Dew is like a drug, I have to drink it daily (or just one every once in a while) ... if I buy a 12-pack for example and have one every day with lunch ... I have Hell to pay once I run out! :crybaby

I know a couple of people who got hooked on that shit, my fishing buddy is one of them. I think he still sneaks one now and again.

I like Dew mixed with Ketel One in a big old giant cup of ice. My wife says "That's not a drink, that's an evening."

Sho nuff.

We have a friend who's going to kill herself with the shit. She's drank a 12 pack a day for 15-20 years. A few years a go she switched to "diet" which I understand is worse than the real stuff..
