Same 5" Kalin lunker grub that the bass hit. I caught a few fish on a french fry type deal that I call Willie the One Eyed Wonder Worm but almost all of my fish came on that root beer colored grub. I think we each ended up with 13 fish before we froze out. The north wind was just vicious. I had one hand on the trolling motor and one holding on to my hat so its a wonder I caught any. We had an official Crazy Ivan today,it was so windy.

You'd think, and there's plenty of those and bluegill that are dang big. But these are coal pits and those fish eat a ton of snails. So when you clean them you get a nice crude oil type smell. The meat doesn't have the taste but once I get that smell in my snoot I swear I can taste it in the meat. So I don't eat 'em out of there.

BKB which is why your wife should do the cleaning of the fish.

He'd probably be told the same thing I tell rookies at work. "You catch it, you clean it."

Here, I have the rule for Lynn, "I catch it, you cook it". OBVIOUSLY she'll need to clean it before she can cook it. Duh! ;)
