Looks like the coonazzes gave up gator hunting and crawfish eating for a day with Trump. ;)

I swear ... this whole thing totally floors me. Almost every day I expect him to crash and burn ... but his ratings do nothing but shoot up! I'm baffled by this.

I'll have to admit, a small (VERY small) part of me would like to see what he could do in the White House, but a HUGE part of me believes he'd be a total embarrassment. This will be a weird, weird election if things don't change around soon. Right now we have a nutbag, a Socialist and a possible female convict at the top of the running order.

Even the RNC is folding under the pressure of his unprecedented number of supporters....one un-named RNC source said it is "inevitable" that he will win the Repub. nomination.

I'm thinking and hoping that the public Trump vs the private Trump are quite different. I don't know much about his daughters but his boys are pretty cool guys. In my line of work a person call tell a whole lot about the parents by how their kids act and behave. His boys are a class act. That and there is also the fact he has been extremely successful in business. I'm talking exceptionally successful. There is no way he could walk into business negotiations acting like a complete jackass and make the deals he has. I do know with a lot of celebrities there is their public persona and their private persona. Alice Cooper would be a really good example of that. I'm hoping Trump is much different than the babbling fool he sometimes comes across while in the spot light.

If his rise says nothing else it's a clear indicator that many many people are fed up with politicians as we've come to know them over the last 50 years.

His daughter pretty well matches the boys in that department B/S. He has another young daughter who's just entering the working world I think ... or she may still be in school. I'm with you, the kids seem to be great kids, smart and already successful. IF he were to be President, I would hope he'd surround himself with smart people and actually listen to his political advisers. He has managers running his various businesses and you know they have to be good at what they do to survive in the Trump financial world, so why wouldn't he have similar people working with him in government? That's what intrigues me the most ... wondering what he'd be capable of doing if elected. That's the part of me that would vote for him.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, I'm Trump all the way simply because I don't see a better choice. I think the system of checks and balances will keep him from doing anything really stupid. Embarrassing maybe, stupid no. How many of of you really think Hillary or Bernie is a better option?

One thought, if he does try to surround himself with the best people he can find, it may very well shake out a lot of the dead weight in Washington. It's not like he owes anyone any major favors if he's elected. Can't say that about anyone else that is running. While I'm not a huge Trump fan you can certainly count me as being among those fed up with politicians.

You hit the nail on the head.
And I think that has got a LOT of people looking his way. Folks are wanting a non-Washington person to have a go.

Trump really got drummed by the non-Trump crowd at the last debate....it was so evident that some of the other candidates(or, the RNC) had "planted" a bunch of non-Trump supporters in the crowd, especially Jeb Bush, it was ridiculous....Trump only had his family in attendance.

They seem to be burning some bridges for the general election if you ask me. Are the non-Trump people just going to line up and vote for him if he wins the nomination? How can Cruz or Bush or Rubio endorse him with a straight face after accusing him of being worse than Hillary?

This election cycle is confounding!

This country has survived a few less than competent Presidents in it's history, just look at whose there now. The other two Dem's weren't much better, (Peanutman, old BJ"
Now take Truman, he was a haberdasher, a business man, did a fine job, first one to coin the term "nuke the bastards",
I think the public is sick of what's been running Washington, I for one am.

I'll not vote for Trump in either the primary or the genera election. That's about the only thing I'm sure of. I have had the "pleasure" of being on the periphery of some business dealings with the Donald. From what I saw his political and business personae's are pretty much the same. He's a bully.

I am certain he has the attitude my way or the highway on some business dealings. But is that wrong? Depends on which side you are on.

He's a bully.

You mean like Putin, or Kim Jong-un, or Xi Jinping, Nicolas Maduro, or Ali Khamenei ... or ... [insert name of asshole here]? Maybe it would be refreshing to see a bully go toe-to-toe with another bully instead of bowing, kissing ass or drawing meaningless lines in the sand.

In a nutshell, the "working folks" of America are sick and tired of being sick and tired of the political weakness, corruption, and constitutional rough-shodding, coming oughta Washington....specifically, the Obama administration....those kinda folks are not going to be the ones at the caucuses or debates....they are busy, making a living for their families....but, they are day'um sure, showing up for the Trump rallies....and, they are day'um sure gonna be in the voting booths, too.

For the most part, I've always held my nose and voted for the lesser of two evils. No more. Most of my life I've considered myself independent. In reality I've voted Republican 95% of the time. I'm fed up as well and it's truly Independence Day. If all y'all Republicans and Democrats want to nominate an asshat like Trump, a viscous little weasel like Cruz or a she devil like Clinton, don't expect me to play along. From here on out I'm voting for who I think will do a good job even if it means writing in Barry and Larke.

Well, ya know Reagan was a day'um good president....he was a day'um good and successful movie star cowboy, too, a LONG time before he entered politics, and he turned out to be a day'um good president....maybe a hard-nosed businessman can do the same....just saying.

Like CD, I've always voted for the lesser of two evils ... well, except for Reagan, that's the last election I ever voted for someone I actually wanted to be President ... instead of simply voting against whom I did NOT want to be President. I don't think anything is going to change with this election. I will say I did look at Cruz for a while (as an alternative), but he turned out to be a bit of a snake IMHO. I could almost vote for Rubio, he's a pretty sharp guy, but I just don't trust him to bring this immigration nightmare under control. I can see him granting amnesty to every illegal in the country. The only way I can view an "illegal" is as someone who broke (and are still breaking) the law. Since when is that ok?

Thats one I don't recall. I do remember wondering if she'd just want to go be a grandma instead of putting up with all this shit. All of these people have to be huge egomaniacs to put up with what they do.
