What did May beetles (uneducated folks call them June bugs) do before there were electric lights?

They're called June bugs. And if you tighten the the thread around they're leg too tight, they break off.

They're May beetles.
They're also damn good fish bait.

They were June bugs before Al Gore invented global warming, now they are May bugs. :D
