Dang, one of my very favorites. I saw him in concert. I even had a 13th row seat which was just about perfect.

I remember exactly where I was, the first time I heard "Okie From Muskogee" on the radio....I was changing a flat on my old '64 Ford Galaxie at midnight, on a gravel road out in the sticks....had my little honey with me, and she was suppose to have been home at 11:30....I left the motor running and the radio on for her....man, we heard that song, and thought that was the coolest song to ever hit the airwaves !!!

All through my teens and early 20's his song Running Kind was my mantra. Even now when I hear it I go somewhere else mentally, and wonder how I became so grounded, given my nature.

I was born the running kind with leaving always on my mind
Home was never home to me at any time
Every front door found me hoping, I would find the back door open
There just had to be an exit for the running kind

Within me there's a prison, surrounding me alone
As real as any dungeon with its wall of stone
I know running's not the answer, yeah, but running's been my nature
And a part of me that keeps me moving on

I was born the running kind with leaving always on my mind
Home was never home to me at any time
Every front door found me hoping, I would find the back door open
There just had to be an exit for the running kind

I was born the running kind with leaving always on my mind
Home was never home to me at any time
Every front door found me hoping, I would find the back door open
There just had to be an exit for the running kind

Not really my cup of tea for music but I can sure as hell appreciate the mark he left on music!

Notice her points for that guitar not being the kind he played, it has nylon strings. He's also posing like he's playing it and there is a pick in the first three strings.

Well, your noticer status is fair, but still severely lacking. You didn't even mention the fact he played/sang that whole song without even moving his fingers OR his lips! :D
