So in my bathroom reno project last year, when I replaced the light fixtures over our vanity, I used fixtures that use halogen bulbs. I was extra careful when I installed them not to touch them, yada yada yada. I selected those on the recommendation of the sales person at the lighting place. She said they'd last forever, yada yada yada.
Yesterday I took all three fixtures down and rewired everything. Found no problems but did it anyway because I just had three bulbs go out at once (there's eight total bulbs). Since these are wired in three parallel circuits, and the three that went are at the 'end' of the circuit, All I can figure is in the act of going out, it caused the 'downstream' voltage to fluctuate and burn out the other two bulbs.

I'm about to go buy replacement bulbs and test my theory.

And my opinion of halogen bulbs ain't for shit.
