I sure hope you don't have friends or family in the way of those big fires in Alberta.

Man that's some scary shit.

Well, I'm sure the whole Johnboy clan and extended family didn't move west when he did.

He has no friends and the family abandoned him in a roadside rest area as a child. ;)

See? Must be an OLD show! ;)

Seriously, that fire is looking like an unstoppable beast! What a tragedy for those people. Where are they all going?

Thanks for the thought Barry but no, I don't have any friends or family up that way. Been to Fort Mac a few times back when I was working for the telco and can't imagine that the whole damm town is in danger of burning down. Serious shit with some 80-90 k people evacuated. Heard this morning that Syncrude is shutting down operations and moving 1500 staff out of the danger zone. Can't imagine what will happen if the fire gets into the actual production facilities as it is still out of any control and goes where the winds send it. Lots of help coming from all over Canada but it's going to take years to get back to 'normal' if ever. Expect the price of gas to go up.

Remember the town of Slave Lake from the fishing trip? They lost 400 homes to the same sort of fire and this one is way worse.

PLEASE tell me it didn't wipe out the KFC!! ;)

Sounds like a real mess up that way John ... I'm glad it's not affecting you personally. I can't imagine where that many people are relocating to.

That KFC when out of business right after you left. They say the damage done was equal to a fire.....

Actually, the fella that owned the SL KFC franchise retired after Thump made him a millionaire. I heard that he now lives the life of Reilly in the Bahamas or some such.

Barry, you know Thump don't eat no veggies. Coleslaw is almost a veggie! I think it was the extra goopy gravy that put him over the top.

At least I knew to put it over my mashed potatoes instead of my fries! Canuck Yankees sure can be goofy sometimes! :D
