My b-i-l and s-i-l are coming for fish supper, tonite....I've never seen two people who enjoy and can eat as much fish, as those two....they can flat pack away a pile of fried fillets. ;)

Sorry to disagree, but I'll put away a truck load of fillets. If I have to mess around with a bunch'a dang bones ... well, just give me a steak instead. Or heck, even a hamburger will do. When I eat, I want to EAT ... not perform surgery!

Fillets are OK but I want a bream with the bones in. They are NO trouble to pull the top and bottom fins off once cooked and then take the meat from the top side. Then just pull the middle bones out and you are done. I like to do crappie the same way, but I'm not opposed to fillets. The part I miss when a fish is filleted is the tail, I LOVE to eat the tails. It's like popcorn to me.

They're almost as good as the legs on a soft shell crab when they're all fried up nice and crispy. As for fish, I prefer the saltwater variety. (Filleted of course!). I honestly don't even think I've ever eaten a crappie. I know I've only eaten bream a couple of times when u was out camping or something.

He and I "chatted" over the weekend via email. Sounds like life is good. He just picked up new trailer and has been visiting lots of family for high school graduations and what not. Shoot him an email and he's likely to respond.
