The GOP lost a stawart in the conservative media when they lost George Will. Its sad for it to happen, too. I wonder if he'll write less about politics or if his columns on politics will take any different slant. It almost seems like they shouldn't.
If you're conservative and you haven't read him, you should.
And his baseball stuff is untouchable.

That's basically my position to a "T". I'm worried about the next 40-100 years - not the next 4.

The thing is that the number of probable Supreme Court appointments over the next 4 years will effect the next 40-100 years.

You mean they won't block every appointment until the court is down to three or four justices?

I'll bet a cup of coffee the Obama nominee gets appointed before the summer's over. Otherwise the deck will really get stacked if Hillary wins. Blocking it is stupid. About as stupid as the sit in.

Trump does not want to be President. I think he's very surprised to be where he is and now is looking for a way out.
He has not set up an election committee, has not gone after contributors (that he'd owe a favor, vs them owing him)
He is doing everything to get TV time and promote Trump, but not doing what he needs to do the get elected.
He's giving the election to the Bitch, we'll wait and see what happens at the convention.

Ha ha ha! And the Democrats have Hillary.

This election is like, "Do you want your left eye poked out? Or your right?"

I am inclined too go along with you on this assessment Jerry! I fear what this country will become with the Democratic agenda which is if it feels good ,do it!

It has nothing to do with blocking or waiting to have the hearings. They can't stall for 4 more years. My point was this election will have repurcussions long after whomever gets elected is out of office purely due to the ages of the current Supreme Court Justices and the potential for the next President to make up to 4 appointments.

Well, there's one appointment they could have now that is definitely a moderate choice. Since they've obstinately refused to do their constitutional duty to even give him a vote, they'll get a much more liberal nominee after the election. My only point is this will make the other appointments even more critical.

Hopefully, Hillary will be a one termer. She's really too old to be a two termer, so the GOP needs to get busy finding a path for four years from now that recognizes what their voters are telling them in this one. Hopefully a much less crazy path than they're on now.
