Spending some strike $$$

I am finally getting around to spending some of the extra $$ I made working OT during the strike. Got a new patio. I also ordered a 1000 & 2500 Shimano CI4+ because I found them on sale at Cabelas for $153.00 each which is about $70 of. Here is the almost finished patio.7355

I am not doing it, my neighbor does it for a living so he has been doing between his other jobs so it's taken a while. The cool thing is about 80% of the materials are it leftovers from other jobs so I am only going to have about $1500 in it when it's all said and done. He said if it were a normal job he would quote it for around $5000 because there was a 20" variance from the house to the end of the patio. We had to bring in 9000# of fine gravel and build that retaining wall.

That looks like a big step down from your patio doors. Are you going to put something there or leave it as a drunk trap?

Hank, I just figured out what you are talking about. Those sun screens are just windows to the breakfast nook. The back door is to the right of them. I think in one of the pics you can actually see the door.

Ha ha ha! That explains it! I thought those were sliding glass doors. That would have been quite a step! :D

It does seem a bit obvious when you look at the window on the left. If the others were sliding glass doors, the bottom of that window would have been just above floor level. I knew SOMETHING was kattiewhompus!
