Actually corn heads are pretty low maintenance.. Grease them once a week.. Bean platforms take a bit more.. still not bad.

I am always impressed when I see a crew working those things at night. Now I'll bet there are some surprised coons when they do night work.

HideHunter is right, combining after dark can be a bit disorienting and a good way for accidents to happen such as running into shit or picking up things that shouldn't go through the machine.
