Gene Wilder just passed away. I will always connect him with my favorite movie of all time ... Blazing Saddles. I still laugh my butt off at that stupid movie! RIP Gene. :(

Birddog and I were just talking about that movies while we were fishng Saturday. Mainly we were talking about it would be virtually impossible to get made in 2016.

Sure they could, if the townspeople were black and the railroad workers were white. Then they could call them crackers and honkys and the white Satan and make fun of their genitalia and the critics would call you a racist if you don't laugh.

I thought the movie was hilarious, I could see why some folks didn't like it but nobody held a gun to their heads and made them watch it. Isn't that the idea of a free country?

I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched that movie and it still cracks me up. Lynn absolutely HATES it ... but like you said, she doesn't HAVE to watch it.

As for the racism involved ... if you really think about it, the movie actually makes the white people out to be the dumbasses. This is just one of many examples ....
