I saw an article today comparing his quote with something Jackie Robinson wrote in a book. He wrote "I cannot stand and sing the anthem. I cannot salute the flag; I know that I am a black man in a white world."
This guy's quote was almost word for word. But the article tries to use that comparison to justify everything else. And that doesn't stand up. Robinson was seriously provoked at every turn because of his color. And that was both personally and professionally. This cat has had no such provocation. Besides, Jackie wrote it in a BOOK about his experiences. That might be a tough assignment for this guy. Maybe if he wrote it down we would understand what the fuck he is upset about. Paid leave for whom? I can respect his right to express his opinion, but I don't have any obligation to respect what he says or does. Maybe when he explains himself we can understand all this crap a little more.
