I'm tired of all the shit disturbing about politics. They both suck and we're all fucked. (And, that's my final word!)

It's fall damnit and this is supposed to be an outdoors site. Is anybody doing any hunting besides Big Sky? Evidently, he don't love us enough to post the pictures here.:D My bow season has been shot all to hell by refinishing my basement and hosting a German exchange student. The basement is finished and the exchange student leaves Monday. So, that's about to change. I've got a couple of new properties to scout and will be doing just that next weekend. It's a good thing too as, to paraphrase an old retired guy I know, I'm about to hunt in my pants.

Two things I've learned is that teenage boys, regardless of nationality, enjoy shooting and cheeseburgers. It's not pictured, but the German kid was a big fan of the AR-15 and according to him the video has made him quite the Instagram sensation back home.

Thats pretty cool. That young man will have some good stories to tell back home.
I've killed a couple of deer this year so far but all does. I've seen a lots of bucks this year but nothing to drop yet.
This is the biggest buck I've seen the year. A little basket rack 8 point still in velvet. I could have shot him for an hour but he needs a couple of more years.

I know a couple of boys who you'd need a 2x4 to keep away from that basket racked 8. On a side note for me, this is the first year I'll be able to fully enjoy Sunday hunting as my new access is local private ground. So, this year I won't have to cut back on my hunting due to coaching conflicts.

Nah, those are regular peanuts. Cappy turned me and the boy onto the boilt ones a couple of years back. It might have been the wilderberry juice, but I took a real "shine" to them. The boy, not so much. You can't find the boiled ones up here except a few places in a can and I'm not that desperate.

A lady friend gave us a 35 lb. bag of green peanuts, a few days ago....I got out my BIG boiling pot, and boilt 'em all....then, froze them in quart ziplock bags....sure will be tasty, during the winter months. ;)

Though most of you gents are chatting about base-a-ball, rest assured Big Sky is not the only one out hunting.

Now, we're talking! I'm going to have to get our West for a hunting trip some time.

Our muzzle loader season opens Saturday. I'll on the edge of a pin oak flat looking down a bush hogged lane. I hope to shoot a big old greasy doe. It amazing what a 385 grain hollow point buffalo bullet does to a shoulder bone.

Unless I am able to sneak back to Lake Gaston to hunt with a friend of mine.

THAT deer? I bet he ain't got a 12 inch spread...
He's safe unless he sticks his nose out when some young fellers are around! :D
Then he's meat on the pole!

Reminds me of the joke about the young bull and the old bull.
