I think I'd take 31-17 going in if I could. Smacking the Irish in the mouth last week was great, but that was played in a driving rain with 40mph winds. Clempson appears to be the real deal this year. Miami v. Carolina is the game I hope you're wrong on. I hate them Tar Heel bastages. I look for the Mountaineers to put a beat down on TT as well.

My MS State Dawgs are flying to Utah to face the BYU Cougars, tonite....we are 7 pt. underdogs, but Mullen might decide to not even let the plane land....we really suck, this year....I'll prolly just watch the Memphis-Tulane game. ;)

Btw, Querk, the #22 Hogs are 7.5 pt. underdogs to #12 Ole Piss....I may be too optimistic, but the game is at Fayetteville, and a big rivalry game....if I was a bettin' man, I'd take the Hogs and the points.

The key to beating Ole Piss is getting to Kelly, EVERY single play....never let him get comfortable, or he'll stomp your azz, with both his hard running and accurate passing....he IS their entire team; everybody else are just warm bodies.

I think our biggest problem on D is that Beliema is too involved in it. I'm hearing that rob smith is not allowed to bring pressure with blitzes because they're afraid of getting burned deep. Now I don't claim to be a coach but after watching us get shelled the last two weeks, I'd go to a 4-2-5 defense and send a linebacker every play. We have several hybrid linebacker/safeties who are pretty quick.

That's just me. If we don't get pressure on Kelly he'll kill us. I'd like to see us spread our offense a little too so our backs aren't constantly running into a ten man line.

We have K State, the school with the football cheers that are even weirder than aTm's. They rock back and forth like someone with a mental disorder (to be politically correct) and claw and go 'Roooowr!'. I think they all rode the short bus to school (to be politically incorrect).

But.......never count out a Bill Snyder team. I have nothing but respect for that old goat. He does have a tendency to teach cut blocks and targeting but a lot of schools, like the military academies for example, teach those techniques because they have smaller players. So if we have more knees left than they do at the end, we might win.

Didn't I read somewhere they finally made that cut block illegal in the NFL? Those Bronco teams were famous for it. If younger cut a few times, it'll sure make you start questioning your desire to get after the runner.

Conrad Dobler was a judo black belt and offensive guard for the old Cards when they were where they were supposed to be. He was also a HOF lineman that was the meanest nastiest fucker you could ever watch play. Leg whipping, cut blocking, and solar plexus punches were his stock in trade. But I think the Cards only gave up like five sacks in one entire season, mainly due to him.

Not entirely the kicker's fault, Chick....3 downs and 30 seconds remaining in regulation time, and NC State sits on the day'um ball for the FG try....you could see the kid was shaken from the earlier blocked FG.....coach shoulda used those downs, and kicked, as last resort.
