Thump and BM, they are for digging/developing a water well.

Yep....a sand spear point(or, drive point)with a soil screen, and a dirt bit....we used both of them, years ago when I was a kid, for drilling shallow water wells on the farm to water the livestock....we even drove a shallow well in our backyard for our drinking and washing water....water had a lot of iron in it, and turned all our clothes a dingy yellow color, when washing clothes.

Newer versions of those items are still being manufactured.

I was always embarrassed, changing clothes in the locker room, because my drawers were always yellow. ;)
