Nope haven't seen mama or baby! Hope they moved on!

I four wheeled out, last trip, and my truck is not 4 wheel drive!

Had the rear slid all the way around sideways, before I got it straightened out!

To tell the truth, it was kind of fun and I didn't hurt the truck!

Don't think we can get back into the property until the road freezes!

Put two new cameras up, so can't wait to see whats on all the cameras on next trip!

For sure keep an eye on your pup if there are cougar around! When I lived on the north tip of Van Island back in the '70s the cats were coming into the settlement to take pets right out of owners carports. Got so bad people were really worried about the kids so a cougar hunter was hired to clean them out. What a character - Cougar Annie (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cougar_Annie). She brought her dog pack and shot a buncha big kitties right out of the neighbourhood. Still lots on the Island.

Thing to remember about cougar is never turn you back to them. They almost always attack from behind and go for a bite to the head.

Lots of deer = cougars. Keep your peepers peeping.

You do realize you moved into his neighborhood right, if you don't want cougars don't move into the woods or go to a bar on ladies night.

a 44 or 45 should put it down easily if it challenges you. However, these cats are very unlikely to "challenge" anyone, they will sneak an attach from the back. is there no cougar season there?

Yes there is a Cougar season. No dog hunting but with a valid hunting license and deer or elk tag pretty sure WA also gives you a cougar tag.
