Uverse Dropouts

I switched back over to UVERSE a couple of weeks ago, which is basically an ethernet circuit to your house over a twisted pair.

My whole service, internet, tv, and phone, drops out about three or four times a day. It stays down for about a minute and comes right back up. In short, an intermittant pain in the ass. Icalled it in and the tech swapped out the cable modem/router. Nice try, Einstein. If you can't troubleshoot, then just swap shit out.
Anybody else have these issues with Uverse? Did they fix it? How?

I'm thinking they need to reprovision my circuit to a bonded pair. I'm at about 3000' from the mux according to the tech.

(fyi, I know more than the generals do about this)

Why, in your richy rich neighborhood would you be on twisted pair. I'd think you are fiber to the hub at least, with a passive optical network aggregating and distributing.

Nope, no FTTP here yet. There's a NID sitting right here in my tv cabinet. Probaly a 30m ckt. Needs a bonded pair methinks.

This is the kind of local service. Verizon was trying to sell on the business side. Much cheaper, but the weak link isthe physical copper. They've been trying to turn that shit into gold for a hundred years.

I have the same issue Barry and for the same reason, we have fiber to the node but the node is on hey 20 near the cemetery which is about .3 miles away.

They suck donkey balls. I'm on wasting time with my third tech today. He just asked me my mobile number so I know he's going to reboot it remotely in an attempt to fix it by doing absolutely fucking noting.
I hate maintenance guys. The laziest techs on earth.

Uverse only offers dsl here and is good if you have nothing else/....I have cable.
