Neiman Marcus is selling frozen "Luxury Collard Greens" for $66 bucks, and they are selling out.....no cornbread included....and, even if it was, I'm sure they'd add sugar to it !!!!!....yuk. ;)

I'm sitting on a gold mine...I prolly got a million bucks worth in my garden !!! ;)

Maybe weshould open a soul food food truck and we'd probably make a mint selling collard greens.

It amazes me that what we used to call the Roach coach is now atoney place to buy food.

It was always a Roach Coach to me. More than a smidge of sugar in cornbread makes it "cake". I like butter and honey on my cornbread ... does that count? Add some fried chicken between a couple slices with the butter & honey and you've got a killer combo!

Or I just bury a couple slices under my ham hocks and pinto beans for a complete meal. ;)

Thumper, you're talking about my soul food. The meal that reminds me most of home is pinto beans, fried potatoes, fried pork chops, and cornbread, with a big old quarter section of fresh vidalia on the side, and a big glass of iced tea.
That makes my smaller arteries snap shut just thinking about it. We have it about once a month now. When my kids were growing up it was at least once a week. Makes awesome leftovers too if there is any. And substitute chicken fried tenderloin of a fat doe when it was available!
