Late Late Fall

Man oh man, its been a long time since we've had as warm a fall as we have this year. Hell, the skeets will eat you alive still. The little stripey legged fuckers that'll bite you at 3:00 in the afternoon. They look just like the aliens in Starship Troopers.

And we're in a drought here too. Its kind of made fall colors pretty bland. I'm taking Julie down to the mountains next weekend to see the foliage and we'd never have done that this late just a few years ago.

The plus is my fall garden is doing well!

We are warmer than usual here too. Deer season opens next weekend and they are calling for temps on the 50's with lows only into the high 30's. Not that I like sitting out in the really cold weather but it's nice to have snow on the ground.
