I don't think I'm overstepping here, but please send your best thoughts and prayers for buddy Larke. He got some bad news today. Lost one of those longtime friends of 38 years, and it sounds to me like there was still lots of fish to be caught between those two.

He don't say much when he's hurting but I doubt he'd mind if he knew you guys were pulling for him.

Appreciate ya!

Yep, we texted back and forth a few times, today, and he is definitely feeling the pain....some GH prayers would certainly help him out, right about now.

Thanks guys. It's been a real hard day. We have fished and solved all the worlds problems for years.
A great man that built and owned a pile of Charlotte commercial properties all while staying humble and completely loyal to close friends.
He has been in the hospital for about 6 weeks. His wife died during that time and he was to sick to attend her funeral.
Chemo is some BAD stuff. I normally sat with him two days a week and actually drove all the way back from the coast Sunday and went to stay with him that night.
i have no idea what it's gonna be like not to be able to call him...
I'll be OK but it's gonna be awhile.
Take Care, Captain.

Losing friends is many times harder than losing family. Friends are there because they want to be, not because they have to be.

My thoughts are with you and Cheryl and the fam. Hug 'em!

I know how you feel as I've been there. Hang tough, big guy.

I talked with him yesterday and first thing this morning. This is really hitting him hard ... REALLY hard. He's working at BPS today, so hopefully they'll be super busy as I'm sure that would help take his mind off the grief ... at least temporarily. He and his buddy were extremely close.

We're here for you Larke ... if there's anything you need, just holler.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear this Cappy. Though it gives a person a chance to say goodbye, it is still a heartbreaker.

Remember the good times buddy.
