I *gotta* be missing something.. I love peanuts - but them boiled things is like eating raw soybeans.. Not the foulest thing I ever put in my mouth (I've eaten coyote) - but right up there.. enjoy..

I'm a boiled, roasted, salted, peppered, any way you want them peanut fan.

Roasted ones poured in a bottle of cold Coke are my all time favorite.

My dad always poured a bag of Tom's peanuts in his Coke and I've done the same since as far back as I can remember. It was a lot easier back in the day. It doesn't work as well with aluminum cans! Luckily we at least have plastic bottles! ;)

Muddy, that brings up another fond memory of my dad. We'd be headed out the door together and my mom would ask where we're going. He'd always answer, "Down to the gas station to get an R'a C Cola and a Moon Pie! (Or sometimes the drink of choice would be a Big Orange) :)

You can still find the little 8 oz. glass bottle Cokes. A bag of salted peanuts in one of those ice cold glass bottle Cokes is manna from heaven.

If you're busy and don't have time for lunch, one of those will set you up sharp for a little bit. That's why I've always called that combo a 'lunchbox'.

When I was a kid it was almost always a bottle of Pepsi and peanuts. I guess my family were just Pepsi people. Maybe that says a lot I dunno.

I switched to Coke when I got old enough to drink liquor. Pepsi doesn't mix well at all with anything. Coke does. Simple as that. Plus, the next morning a cold can of Coke cuts the crud like nothing else. Now its diet Coke when I drink soda at all and about 99% of the time when I do it has a bag of peanuts in it.

ps, on edit, something crazy but when I was a kid and went to someone's house if they had cases of Fanta stacked up i always figured it was because they were poor.
