Wild quail are all but a thing of the past around here. When I was a kid they were everywhere and we hunter them every chance we got. Now it's just an occasional sighting. I would dare not shoot a wild bird. We are reduced to hunting pen raised and flight condition birds.

Those gray fox are purty little critters. We used to have them here - along with civet cats (spotted skunks). Haven't seen a gray for 20 years or a civet cat for 30.
