My first picking, nearly two gallons. Probably 50 times that many still on the tree. Most of these were still wearing their clothes, husk just starting to split open.

Do you have a treeshaker or pick them up off the ground?

I just pick them up. thse early ones have a lot of bad ones but thats always the case
I bought myself one of those coiled wire Texican peecan pickeruppers and it sure heck saves your back. Ever seen one?
We use one of those on the firing range to pick up the brass.
