I'm sure Thump has had velvet soup or some such! :D
That ain't no joke, Cappy! Deer antler tea in Korea is $1,200 **per cup**!
Thats an interesting video...
I saw that years ago in Ohio, but he wasn't eating it from another buck's antlers. I was in my buddy's kitchen and we looked out the back door and saw a buck in his backyard rubbing his velvet off on a bush and then eating it off the branches.
I can see why-- there's probably a lot of nutrition there.. That's all fresh blood vessels and such. Yum! I just didn't think they'd be patient enough to let another deer go at it!
By the way, those two smaller bucks were sparring on their haunches the other day. Wisht I could've gotten that video!
That one that was in the back at the beginning of the video needs an arrow thrown at it come fall!
Unfortunately, Arty, none of them are gonna get within a 45 minute drive of a legal arrow. NE New Jersey is pretty communist about that. Hell, they threw a mother and daughter in prison (for 11 years?) for just driving through the state without a permit while carrying a shotgun in the back of the trunk. Nope, that fatty is gonna die of old age or a car accident.

Yep! Still resting... Nice rack! (Am I allowed to say that?)
Nasty disease ridden creatures. You really should do something about that.
Best I can do is spray my lawn every other week. I'll keep them around as post-apocalypse snacks. After Hurricane Sandy, it was starting to get real tempting. They were sleeping literally 6 feet behind my breakfast table. If we would have gone without power or gasoline or groceries another week, one woulda been on the table.
By the way, how do you score a double brow tine?
Twice.
Are they atypical though?
No, not per se. Takes more than that. Main beams are what rule that.
Here's one you can practice on.
